Prayer
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7 :14
It is such a blessing to know that our Heavenly Father is listening and cares about every aspect of our lives. Prayer is central to everything here at Saint John’s. What task could possibly be more urgent for our world today? The bible teaches us that our prayers are powerful, we can call upon our God to do the things only he can do.
Communal Prayer
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Monday evening Prayer Meetings at 7:30pm
An on line Zoom prayer meeting is held every Monday between 7:30pm and 8:15pm.
We pray about anything and everything: thanksgiving, family and friends, government, nations, local issues, the village, the schools, the sick , the poor, God’s vision for us.
Personal Prayer
Everyone prays, but no one finds it easy. We all need a little help
We recently held the Peter Greig (24 /7 prayer) Prayer Course at St John’s. Over 8 weeks, journeying through the Lords prayer we had the opportunity to understand prayer and deepen our relationship with our heavenly father, helping us to become more centred and still, clearer in discerning Gods voice, more able to make sense of our disappointments and more expectant for miraculous breakthrough.
Healing & Wholeness
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:14-16
Prayer Ministry Team
The Prayer Ministry Team is available on Sundays after the 10am Service to pray with you. Prayer requests can be sent by completing the prayer request form or by contacting Carol Milford who will circulate them to the Prayer Ministry Team. All requests and prayer ministry are strictly confidential.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11: 28-30
He does not crush the weak or quench the smallest hope. He will end all conflict with his final victory And His name shall be the hope of all the world. Matthew 12: 20-21
