Meet the ministry team

The Revd Vickie Morgan is vicar of St John’s Church

I trained for ordination at Ripon College Cuddesdon. I was ordained Deacon and Priest in the Diocese of Portsmouth and served my title at St Faith’s, Havant. I am married to David, who is also ordained, and have two children.

Vickie is supported by an Assistant Minister and an Assistant Curate,

Revd Joy Windsor – Assistant Minister

Revd Richard Hutchins – Assistant Curate

I was licensed and installed as Priest-in-Charge of the United Benefice of Catherington and Clanfield, in March 2020 and also licensed as Assistant Curate to Rowlands Castle and Blendworth-Chalton-Idsworth. I was ordained Deacon in Portsmouth Cathedral by Bishop Christopher in 2017, and was priested in 2018. Before ordination I served for 28 years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer (Submarine) Officer, reaching the rank of Commander RN. I am married to Diana and we have two adult sons, Jonathan and Angus; Jonathan is studying Medicine at UCL and Angus will read for a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough. We arrived here from my Title Curacy at St Mary Liss – and know this area well having lived in Widley since 1998, before our move to Liss.

I have been in the Choir/Music Group from the start, joined the PCC, then the Deanery Synod, then became Church Warden in 2015.
