We are more than just an old building! - St John’s is a family - a community of Christians, young and old, who enjoy meeting together to worship and serve God, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
People matter to God, and so people matter to us. We endeavour to provide a home for the spiritual seeker and the committed Christian alike. Whoever you are, whatever your background, you matter to us, and are welcome to visit us and stay if you can.
We believe people are important. We believe that God, in his great love, created each and every one of us, for a purpose - to know him and to experience the joy & power of a personal relationship with him.
We aim to help people to meet with Jesus Christ. Through relevant bible-based teaching, inspired heartfelt worship, prayer and honest friendships, we want to help people find practical answers to life's problems, experience forgiveness and a new life through their relationship with Christ. We want to provide a nurturing environment for them to grow into an ever deeper relationship with God and fulfill their potential through the working of the Holy Spirit of God - and we think it's important to have fun along the way!

Children are an important part of our family - they are the church of tomorrow, and they enrich our lives today. We provide a modern, relevant, yet biblically sound programme tailored specially for them, so they enjoy themselves as they learn about Jesus.
We value our local community of Rowlands Castle and beyond. We want to build relationships, connect with those don't have faith in God, and give compassionate care for those in need. We aspire to be 'contagious' Christians that can influence and encourage the whole community for the good.

We're an active church and there's a lot going on. We hold both traditional and modern services. Although under the auspices of the Church of England, our 10 o'clock services are informal and welcoming. We celebrate Holy Communion once a month, run a Young People's church, and hold healing services. Personal prayer is available each Sunday morning.
During the week, we split into small 'Growth Groups' which meet in homes for fellowship and friendship. In addition we have a new Church Centre on site which is used for a variety of activities. We have a structure of coordination teams which encourages everyone to get involved as much or as little as they wish.
